Every day, these smart, passionate people work hard to help Let Me Run reach and inspire as many boys as possible.
As a former educator and track and field coach, I have always believed in the power running as a tool to build relationships, and improve lives. When I became a Let Me Run coach, I became totally immersed in it as a coach, and saw how powerful the lessons were for my team members. One of my favorite things about Let Me Run, is that it empowers the boys to be themselves. I have always tried to instill this in my own two sons. It has always been my goal in life to affect as many people as possible in a positive manner. As Greater Charlotte Regional Director for Let Me Run, I have the opportunity to do this for close to 1000 boys, and almost 200 coaches. I wake up with a smile on my face every morning knowing that I have been blessed with this opportunity.
I have always been a believer in the lessons learned from running. Perseverance, humility, comradery, determination, just to name a few. Add to that the character education lessons that are explored by the Let Me Run program along with coaches who often act as mentors to the Let Me Run boys, and you get a triple threat.
